NEC Australia chooses Asentria’s TeleBoss for managing outsourced voice monitoring services.

SEATTLE – April 2, 2008 – Asentria, a leading provider of remote site monitoring and telemanagement products today announced that NEC Australia has chosen Asentria’s TeleBoss Controllers to securely monitor and manage its outsourced voice monitoring services. TeleBoss provided a powerful, flexible and cost-effective solution that NEC Australia needed to proactively monitor, access, control and collect data from diverse voice and data infrastructure located within remote customer premises.
With more than 6000 customer sites under management, from large enterprise, government, through to SME’s NEC Australia’s NECare business is Australia’s leading Maintenance services provider. A key component to NECare’s service is the ability to remotely monitor and manage network infrastructure for their end customers, thus providing a proactive element to the Service Level Agreements that are in place with its customers
With the upgrade of NECares Network Management Systems to support VoIP technologies, a large number of legacy systems remain under management by NECare. It was essential that support for these networks remained of the highest quality to meet the customers expectations.
Asentria’s TeleBoss devices were chosen to ensure that NEC was able to continue to grow its NOC services but to also service existing networks and be a seamless replacement for its aging data collection units.

TeleBoss Controllers are hardware devices deployed at remote sites for monitoring and managing equipment and environmental conditions. TeleBoss utilizes IP networks to enable service providers with a cost-effective, powerful monitoring solution for legacy and IP-based telecom and data equipment. TeleBoss enabled NEC to upgrade their remote access capability from dial-up modem to a secure, always-on broadband connectivity.
TeleBoss controllers are scalable and economical, easy to set up and use, and provide a variety of secure options for in-band and out-of-band remote access. TeleBoss offers a powerful set of versatile and intelligent monitoring and control features that enable network managers to immediately detect and react to potential device and environmental threats at remote customer sites to prevent downtime.
