Telecom Products - Recommended Product Migration

 

 

 

 

Recently Asentria introduced the TeleBoss product line for Call-Accounting and Telecom Site Management applications.

 

However we have not discontinued the Data-Link product line which most of our customers are familiar with. Rather, we intend to manage a graceful transition from the Data-Link product line to the TeleBoss product line over a comfortable timeline for our customers. The TeleBoss product line was introduced for several reasons:

 

  • The components of the Data-Link products were becoming harder to purchase (having been designed about 8 years ago).
  • Our focus was moving from mostly 'data collection' to Telecom Site Management , thus the more suitable, universal name.
  • The TeleBoss line introduces a powerful Linux-based OS for the T830/850 products, bringing an array of new features.

 

Some of the benefits of using the TeleBoss products include:

 

  • New powerful features not available in the Data-Link product line.
  • Better general performance because of faster hardware.
  • Better support for new feature additions going forward.
  • Better availability and shorter lead times.
  • More expansion options include ADSL and Cellular Wireless Modems
  • Compatiblity with SitePath (T830/850)

 

With a few setup steps the new TeleBoss products should be drop-in compatible with your Data-Link applications. They are much more powerful and should cost the same or less than the comparable Data-Link products you are currently buying.

 

We would like to manage a graceful transition of customers to the new TeleBoss line of products. With that said, we will not put any customers in a position where they are forced to transition to the TeleBoss products before they are ready and comfortable with that transition. The Data-Link products will continue to be available for as long as necessary for us to manage that transition smoothly and painlessly for all our customers.
