PowerBoss PB2 Power Distribution Unit



Product Overview

PowerBoss™ 2 or PB2 is a power distribution peripheral that complements any host Asentria SiteBoss product with an EventSensor Type 2 (SensorJack) interface. The PB2 provides the means for bringing in 120Amps of 48VDC and distributing this power to nine 10A switched power outputs to control power to the devices connected to these outputs.

PDU devices allow for the remote reboot of DC powered equipment, preventing a “truck roll” to reboot equipment. They might also be used as part of energy reduction programs at cell sites, in particular for extending battery life through load-shedding in situations where it is known that you’ve lost primary AC power.

Add DC power cycling to your unmanned sites

Don't send a tech to the site every time you detect that something is wrong. Asentria site monitoring products can go there for you. The PowerBoss Two is an accessory for Asentria site monitoring products such as the S571 that lets you control power to up to 12 pieces of equipment located at your remote sites. You can power cycle both -48VDC equipment. When a piece of equipment in your remote cabinet becomes unresponsive, use the PB2 to cycle its power. When combined with an applicable SiteBoss Unit, the PB1 greatly improves your ability to manage your facilities, especially in unmanned rooms or after work hours.
