“What Asentria offered us was the ability to keep the infrastructure we already had in place for our customer. All we had to do was slot it in the right place and we were able to monitor the entire network within a matter of minutes.”

SiteBoss 410
Enclosed Monitoring Unit
General Configuration Features
- 10Base-T Ethernet Interface –The SiteBoss 410 provides a 10Base-T
Ethernet interface which supports TCP/IP, SNMP, and FTP.
- One Serial Port – The SiteBoss 410 has a single
serial port which can be used for direct serial configuration of the SiteBoss 410 and/or
as a pass-through port to provide a communication channel to another serial device
at your remote site.
- Supports up to 10 On-Board I/O Channels - The SiteBoss 410 offers
up to 10 on-board I/O channels which can be a combination of contact closure inputs,
analog inputs, and/or relay outputs, allowing you to directly monitor and control
environmental and equipment alarms and conditions within your remote equipment room.
The SiteBoss 410 is available with either 8 contact inputs or 6 contact inputs and 2 analog
inputs which measure either 0-5vdc or +/-75vdc. Additionally 2 relay outputs
are available The SiteBoss 410 can detect discrete contact alarms from devices such
as backup power systems, air conditioners, door sensors and status outputs from
countless non-networked devices. Analog sensors can measure voltages and battery
outputs, and relays can control small devices or indicate alarms to other management
systems. Asentria also offers a line of mechanical sensor
accessories including Temp, Humidity, Water, Smoke Alarms, and Door Sensors.
- On-Board Temperature Sensor - The SiteBoss 410 provides an internal
temperature sensor which can be read via SNMP, and/or can be setup to alarm
when the temperature moves into the very high, high, normal, low, and very low ranges
that you assign.
- On-Board Humidity Sensor - The SiteBoss 410 provides an internal
humidity sensor (optional) which can be read via SNMP and/or which can be setup
to alarm when the humidity moves into the very high, high, normal, low, and very
low ranges that you assign.
- Supports up to 2 External EventSensor Modules – The
SiteBoss 410 can be with an optional EventSensor Port on its back panel that allows
you to connect up to 2 external EventSensor Modules. The modules provide additional
capabilities to sense temperature, humidity, contact closures and analog inputs,
and can also switch relay outputs. You connect EventSensors to the SiteBoss 410
via standard CAT5 cable that may extend hundreds of feet away from the SiteBoss 410 base
unit. The SiteBoss 410 powers the EventSensors over the same cable. However, you may also choose
to power the EventSensors individually.
- Power Requirements and Options – The standard SiteBoss 410
comes with a standard US-compatible wall transformer that supplies input power for
the SiteBoss 410. Wall transformers for other countries are available for an additional
charge. The SiteBoss 410 can also optionally ordered for use with -48v systems. The
SiteBoss 410 has another special optional power feature useful in -48v remote hut environments,
whereby the -48v-powered SiteBoss 410 can supply a 5vdc output current which can be used
to power a small hub or router.
- Extended Temperature Range The SiteBoss 410 supports
an extended temperature range of 30 to 60 degrees Celcius.

Remote Access & Management Features
- Remote Console Port Access – The SiteBoss 410 provides transparent
pass-through access to devices connected to its serial I/O port. You can utilize
this feature to manage remote PBXs, voicemail, routers, and other
devices with RS-232 admin ports.
- Alarm Notification Options – The SiteBoss 410 transmits its
alarms via SNMP Trap, which is the most common form of alarm notification when integrating
with a network management system. To receive SNMP Traps, you may
utilize your existing SNMP software or Asentria AlarmManager software, which
is now available free.
- Easy Custom Modifications – Do you have an application
with some customized requirements? There may be a special capability that you do not see listed
in the SiteBoss 410 feature set? If so, call us to discuss your application.
- Free Alarm Software – In addition to any other alarm
notification methods you use, you can use Asentria AlarmManager software to send SNMP
traps directly to your desktop. AlarmManager is minimized to the Systray of your
Windows screen and pops up when a new alarm arrives. The alarm messages are displayed
along with their site names, and are logged under individual folders according to
their Site Names.
- Rack/Wall Mountable – The SiteBoss 410 comes in a case which
is designed to be wall-mounted to rack mounted without requiring any additional
'ears' to be added onto the case.
