“What Asentria offered us was the ability to keep the infrastructure we already had in place for our customer. All we had to do was slot it in the right place and we were able to monitor the entire network within a matter of minutes.”
Martin Cooper, president of Transcom

Asentria's New Solution

Asentria offers a family of proven remote site monitoring and management products which give service providers the solutions they need to remotely and proactively monitor, manage, access and control equipment in remote or understaffed locations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It also keeps track of any environmental conditions (e.g. high temperatures, excessive water, an open door or window, power outages, etc.) that could potentially pose a threat to remote equipment.

These products, which are easy to install and cost-effective to use, help detect and alert network managers before any harm is done to remote equipment. The products also provide the granular detail needed to dispatch appropriate resources in the event of a problem, and remotely execute actions such as rebooting a locked computer, turn on a fan, enable or disable power systems or manage devices, change equipment configuration parameters, connect remote users to restricted ports, and much more.

SiteBoss

SiteBoss - Remote Site Controllers

The SiteBoss series of Remote Site Controllers from Asentria are designed to address the monitoring challenges facing today’s network architects and managers. SiteBoss helps detect and control remote site factors such as non-networked, non-SNMP devices and environmental conditions that otherwise remain dangerously outside the scope of network management systems (NMS), while providing security that will satisfy even the most stringent requirements.

Elements that are directly affected:

  • Power monitoring and cycling – monitoring power distribution, battery backup systems, etc.
  • Environmental conditions – Fire, security alarms, door locking mechanisms, surveillance systems, etc.
  • Remote access – providing secure remote access via wireless, DSL and other “out-of-band” access methods.
  • Control - remotely reboot equipment, enable or disable power systems or manage devices, change equipment configuration parameters, connect remote users to restricted ports, etc.

Data-Link Buffers

TeleBoss - Telecom Site Controllers

Asentria’s TeleBoss series of Telecom Site Controllers are designed to address the monitoring and management challenges presented by both legacy and the new generation of remote voice and data systems. The TeleBoss product line provides powerful, flexible and cost-effective choices to securely monitor, access, control and collect data from their voice and data infrastructure located within remote customer premises.

TeleBoss enables your existing NMS to monitor, access and control legacy equipment (non-SNMP, non-networked devices), telecom devices such as voice mail systems and PBXs, and environmental conditions such as intrusion, temperature, humidity, power, and more. Equipment located at remote sites may often extend over multiple generations of devices and overlay network infrastructure, and each may require a separate management platform and legacy communication protocols. These elements can drive up site equipment needs and overall operational costs. Because TeleBoss controllers are tuned specifically for voice networks, they are cost-effective to purchase, simple to install, and easy to operate.

Elements that are directly affected:

  • Equipment monitoring and management - Frequently PBX’s have proprietary alarm languages. TeleBoss interprets and delivers alarms from PBX often “hidden” behind customer firewalls making it difficult for a PBX vendor to provide support on a remote PBX.
  • Power monitoring and cycling – monitoring power distribution, battery backup systems, etc.
  • Environmental conditions – fire, security alarms, door locking mechanisms, surveillance systems, etc.
  • Remote access – providing secure remote access via wireless, DSL and other “out-of-band” access methods.

SitePath – Administrative Portal

Asentria’s SitePath is a secure administration portal that provides on-screen visibility into remote sites to manage and control all monitored equipment and environmental conditions. Many of the problems found can be corrected remotely, thus avoiding costly physical site visits. When on-site service is required, technicians arrive with the information they need to take quick corrective action, reducing response time and maintenance costs.
