“Our Data-Link units allow us time to fix the problem or shut equipment down before the threshold where damage is likely to occur. Not knowing of high temperatures in our equipment rooms is a big deal. To avoid the loss of telephone service, the system’s ability to notify us of alarms is crucial.”

Asentria Wireless Solution Center

Welcome to Asentria Wireless solutions. Whether you operate or maintain a CDMA, GSM, 3G or other Wireless communications networks, you are well aware of the importance of keeping and improving your market share. To stay competitive, you need to continually improve quality of service to keep and attract new customers, while reducing operating costs. Proactive remote site monitoring can help on both of these fronts. The complex and ever changing technology and devices within remote Wireless sites can be made more reliable, visible, easier to manage and less costly to operate with the use of automated monitoring access and control.

In addition to maintaining and improving existing base station infrastructure, operators must continually deal with the added pressures of managing dispersed remote site roll outs. The deployment of geographically distributed base stations has become strategically important. And, never before has there been such demand to build in reliability, and to operate more efficiently.

Asentria offers a family of proven products that deliver proactive monitoring, access, and control. Asentria provides three primary areas of protection for Wireless environments.

Environmental Conditions
Monitor and receive alarms on excess temperature, humidity, water, intrusion, pressure, fire, etc.

Monitor Equipment and Cycle Power
Monitor remote equipment such as servers, transceivers, routers, and more. Asentria proactively monitors batteries for low voltage, and cycle's power, helping you avoid significant loss of equipment by identifying problems before they become a crisis.

Network Outage
If a microwave transceiver or Ethernet connection goes down, the NOC is unable to communicate with that site. Asentria' out-of-band remote dial-up enables the NOC to remotely control and reboot equipment.

Asentria site monitoring solutions provide the missing protection and control over all aspects of dispersed remote Wireless sites that IT departments require, to safeguard vital equipment located in remote and understaffed locations. Asentria enables administrators to be instantly alerted when current or potential problems occur, and take immediate action to do repairs, or prevent impending problems, thus quickly resolving issues and ensuring continual uptime.

Monitoring and controlling SNMP and non-SNMP-compliant equipment allows administrators to receive alerts for remote devices, along with environmental elements temperature, humidity, doors, fans, etc., and notify personnel when conditions exceed user-defined limits. Administrators can receive alerts via an Ethernet connection, as well as out-of-band methods, such as a POTS line or wireless modem, on events that occur in remote sites, and execute actions such as turning on a fan, or remotely rebooting a locked device.

Asentria products monitor, collect and concentrate alarm data from contact closures and serial interfaces, and mediate alarms into industry standard protocols such as SNMP. Analog data such as voltage and current from battery units are also monitored and collected. The collected alarm data is automatically reported to the Network Operations Center (NOC) through third-party Network Management Systems (NMS).

Asentria helps administrators cost-effectively manage their remote Wireless infrastructure, while extending confidence and security to ensure availability, integrity and cost-efficiencies. By helping service providers avoid failures from poor performing equipment that threaten end-user service expectations, Asentria enables you to better control and predict your remote Wireless infrastructure. Our products are designed to provide a new level of protection by shielding end-users from remote site equipment failure, and enabling administrators with optimized alert response times due to equipment failure, inconsistent equipment operation and adverse environmental conditions. Any one of these conditions can cause end-users to experience service problems.
