Asentria has built its product line in large part by listening to what customers need and then responding rapidly in order to deliver it. Almost every feature in our products can be traced back to customer feedback regarding a feature or capability which they needed. If you don't see a feature or capability in our products you are looking for, please contact sales and ask us about it. It is possible that our products actually can do what you want, and if not, then we can discuss making a special implementation for you, OR just adding your requested feature into our standard product functionality!
As well as adding software features into our products, we have also completed many comprehensive custom projects for customers. Our customer-responsive approach over the years has resulting in a number of custom features and developments, some of which we list out below:
OEM Collection Device for Call Accounting
Many
of our custom enhancements have been related to our Call Accounting Buffer products.
We have delivered OEM versions of these products for many software companies which
include completely customized features and proprietary functionality. Sometimes
custom modifications include small changes. Whether
large or small, let us know if you are interested in custom modifcations.

Customized Remote Monitoring Device
There are
many opportunities for specially tailored functionality to manage and monitor specific
conditions at remote sites. We have developed custom features for regular
and private-label VARs to customize the monitoring capabilities of a number of our
site monitoring products. We are very driven by customer feedback, so don't hesitate to contact us if you do not see what you are looking
for. (back to top)
Fast Network Alarming for Broadcast Applications
A customer had a need for a very, very fast response time of a custom alarm message
over a network when a certain broadcast-related alarm occured. We custom-tuned
one of our products until it met the customers needs, which solved a large problem,
and allowed the project to go forward. (back to top)
Custom Alarm Formatting for Compatibility
When
using one of our alarm monitoring products, a customer needed to take contact closure
and temperature alarms and create a text message, which could then be polled by an
existing alarm management software that had a specific alarm format. We made
this modification which allowed the customer to integrate the solution seamlessly
into their existing alarm management system. (back to top)
SNMP Front-End for Non-Networked Equipment
Acustomer manufactured a point-to-point data transmission device which was controlled
and monitored via serial port. Working with this customer we produced a modification
that implemented an SNMP front-end, including a 'faux' MIB that represented all of
the status and control variables of the device, and which communicated to the device
over the serial port to change settings and read status variables so that the MIB
was functional. (back to top)
SNMP Front-End for a Video Mux
A customer manufactured
a video switching device which was controlled via serial port commands. Working
with this customer we produced a modification that implemented an SNMP front-end,
including a 'faux' MIB that represented all of the status and control variables
of the device, and which communicated to the device over the serial port to change
settings and read status variables so that the MIB was functional.

SNMP Proxy Engineered as a Plug-in Card
A
customer manufactured a T1/E1 multiplexer as a backplane-based card system. Working
with this customer we produced a plug-in card that interfaced with their system
and produced an SNMP front-end that monitored and provided alarm reports from the
system. (back to top)
Custom Tape Drive Emulator
A customer was
using a legacy tape drive system and wanted to convert this to a digital data stream
for real-time data processing. We engineered and manufactured a tape drive
emulator product to this customers specification that met the high-standards and
performance required for RBOC equipment uses. (back to top)
ISA-based Tape Drive Controller Card
A
customer had a legacy tape drive system which interfaced to a computer system which
had been discontinued. We engineered an ISA-based interface card to talk to
the tape drive system so as to provide compatibility with current PC-based hardware.
