Sales Development Representative

Asentria is a global leader in delivering monitoring and control systems for remote wireless infrastructure, such as cellular and microwave sites. Our solutions enhance the efficiency of passive infrastructure (power, generators, cooling, batteries, temperature, etc.) at cell huts and cabinets, reducing maintenance costs and preventing site failures. We design advanced controllers to support our customers’ operational objectives.

We are seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support our Business Development Manager in expanding our customer base in the U.S., with a focus on the Midwest. This role will target key industries like utilities and public safety, leveraging Asentria’s innovative solutions to improve the reliability of remote wireless infrastructure. Working under the direction of the Business Development Manager, you will contact and qualify leads from marketing campaigns and LinkedIn searches, schedule meetings, and build a robust sales pipeline. Key Responsibilities

  • Contacting Potential Customers: Proactively reach out to prospective customers via email, phone, and LinkedIn to introduce Asentria’s solutions and generate interest.

  • Qualifying Leads: Engage with leads from marketing campaigns, LinkedIn searches, and outbound efforts to assess interest and fit, identifying qualified opportunities and then working with the Business Development Manager to move them forward.

  • Scheduling Meetings: Arrange calls and meetings between prospective customers and the Business Development Manager to advance sales opportunities.

  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of leads, interactions, and activities in Odoo CRM, adhering to company workflows and best practices.

  • Supporting Outreach: Contact past customers to identify new needs for Asentria products and follow up with potential partners or resellers as directed.

  • Collaborating with Team: Work closely with the Business Development Manager, Sales Engineers, and marketing team to ensure seamless opportunity handoff and alignment on goals.

  • Tracking KPIs: Use Odoo CRM to monitor key performance indicators, such as lead response rates, meeting bookings, pipeline volume, pipeline progression, etc., as directed by the Business Development Manager.

  • Supporting Tradeshows; Tradeshow Attendance: Assist with logistics, preparation, and execution for industry tradeshows, attending tradeshows, making contact with prospective customers and partners, striving to achieve measurable results, collaborating with other marketing and business development teams as needed.

  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain familiarity with Asentria’s products and services through ongoing training and team collaboration.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Sales Experience: Proven experience in sales, lead qualification, or outbound prospecting, preferably in a B2B technology or solutions-based environment.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage prospects professionally via email, phone, and virtual meetings.

  • CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM software (e.g., Odoo, Salesforce, or similar) to track leads and activities, with strong attention to detail.

  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively under the guidance of the Business Development Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with technology solutions, with the ability to learn Asentria’s product offerings through on-the-job training.

  • Travel: Ability to participate in substantial travel for tradeshows, team meetings, or customer visits, as needed.

Through product training as well as participation in the sales cycle and working alongside the Business Development Manager and Sales Engineers, it is expected that you will thoroughly learn Asentria's products and customer needs. By gaining such experience, the opportunity may arise for you to move toward managing your own opportunities pipeline, opportunity conversation and/or account management.
