Recently Asentria introduced the TeleBoss product line for Call-Accounting and Telecom Site Management applications.

We have also begun to indicate that that TeleBoss products should be favored over older Data-Link products when certifying new applications or starting new projects. This has caused some concern with a few customers that the Data-Link products will be unexpectedly discontinued.  Please review the following statement and let us know if you still have any further concerns:

The Data-Link product line is about 8 years old and some of its internal components themselves have been discontinued by manufacturers, making it harder for us to buy and build more Data-Link products. Harder, but not impossible. We still have stock of hundreds of Data-Link products and we are still manufacturing them. No date has been set to discontinue the Data-Link products.

Nonetheless, we would like to manage a graceful transition of customers to the new TeleBoss line of products. The new TeleBoss products use all new, 'state-of-the-art' hardware and are faster and more powerful than the corresponding Data-Link products.  Each TeleBoss product matches directly with a Data-Link product, with no increase and in some cases a decrease in your costs.  With a few simple setup steps the TeleBoss products should be drop-in compatible with your applications designed for the Data-Link products. With that said, we will not put any customers in a position where they are forced to transition to the TeleBoss products before they are ready and comfortable with that transition. The Data-Link products will continue to be available for as long as necessary for us to manage that transition smoothly and painlessly for all of our customers.
